We are proud to tell you that this year Robert Wilkinson Primary Academy is celebrating its 300th year as a school at the heart of the Strensall community.
In 1718 a local yeoman farmer called Robert Wilkinson died leaving in his will some land and money for the purposes of educating local children. Now in 2018, thanks to his generosity and philanthropy, we have grown to be the biggest primary school in York; educating over 650 local children!
To mark this very special occasion we are planning a series of commemorative events during the summer term, beginning with a service at York Minster on Monday 2nd July, 7-8 pm and a Summer Fair on Friday 6th July, 3-6 pm.
We would like to invite all local residents to our summer fair on Friday 6th July.
Tickets for the summer fair, which will be a great local community event with participation from many local community groups as well as activities for all the family and tasty refreshments, are available at: http://rwprimary.co.uk/
We very much hope you are able to join us.
