Film at The Folk Hall

  • New Earswick Folk Hall 6 Elm Tree Mews England, YO32 United Kingdom (map)

The first on 26th January at 7:30pm when we will be showing our respect for Holocaust Memorial Day (27th) and will be screening the incredible DUNKIRK (12a). Doors and licensed bar open at 7pm.

In May 1940 Allied troops were trapped in Dunkirk during the German advance through France. What happened next is a story that helped shape the world we live in today.

Directed by powerhouse Christopher Nolan, and starring Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy and Mark Rylance, it’s a visceral account from the eyes of a group of soldiers stranded on the beaches at Dunkirk during WW2. Not for the faint hearted, this film packs a punch and has some great acting thrown in for good measure. It's also got an intense score from the legendary Hans Zimmer, expect to see it win some awards in this year's rounds! Watch the trailer!

We are running this as a FREE event for all our current members, all you need to do is book yourself a free member ticket and bring your membership card on the night. If you aren't a member then you can join us for £5 on the night and get your entry for free!
