York 50+ Festival

Copies of the 3,500 York 50+ Festival programmes are available from early September in all branch libraries, community centres, city-wide outlets and the Visitors Centre. You can also find it on the YOPA website at www.yorkassembly.org.uk/festival.

The Festival is a key moment for older people to have a go at something new or take up something they’ve loved doing in the past. It’s a chance to try different therapies and improve a sense of wellbeing. There are opportunities to expand knowledge, discuss ideas, and get to grips with important issues. “Getting out and about can do you the world of good,” suggests Sue. “Finding someone to come along with you will make it even more fun.”
