Tickets are on sale for a special event at The Grand Opera House in York in June of this year.
A cast of local musicians are joining forces to perform Quadrophenia, the rock opera written by Pete Townshend. The York All Stars, featuring local acts The SuperModels, Faraday Waves and The 5:15s, as well as an ensemble of well known local musicians will perform the 1973 album in its entirety.
In addition there will be individual performances from the bands, in an evening complete with lighting and multimedia visuals. Quadrophenia tells the story of Jimmy Cooper, a young mod set in 1960s London.
The concert is in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, with all proceeds going to support local Macmillan services.
The event takes place at 7.30pm on Saturday, June 11 2016 at the Grand Opera House. Tickets are available at the box office or visit www.atgtickets/york. Ticketline is 0844 8713024.
