Festive Lunch with Charles Dickens' Great Great Great Grand-daughter Saturday 19th December
Join Lucinda Hawksley, accomplished speaker, author and descendent of the celebrated Charles Dickens for a festive lunch which will help raise funds for the Dickens Gift to Yorkshire Charity. Guests will be welcomed with a glass of Smoking Bishop - the original recipe used by Charles Dickens. He often visited Malton and some of the buildings and people within the town were the source of inspiration for ‘A Christmas Carol’.
Lucinda will talk about her celebrated ancestor, a great novelist, philanthropist and campaigning journalist, reading extracts from the book and answering questions. There will be an opportunity for book signing of her latest book, Moustaches Whiskers and Beards.
