Saturday 24th October 2015, 9.30-1.30pm East Keswick Village Hall, East Keswick, Leeds, LS17 9DA Come along on Saturday 24th October to East Keswick, north of Leeds with easy access from the A1 motorway, where our annual event will focus on why rural matters and the challenges and opportunities facing rural communities. MPs and policy makers will be in attendance for a Q&A session and this will be followed by the choice of 2 workshops and networking in the marketplace, plus lunch.

Our annual event is a great opportunity for village halls, parish councils, and other community groups and volunteers to come together and discuss the rural matters which are important to them in their day-to-day lives and also in the upkeep of community. It is free to attend for current members, or £5 for non-members which will cover the cost of lunch and refreshments. Workshops Following the Q&A, there will be the choice of two workshops. ‘Rural Matters Reflections’ will be a continuation of the topics raised in the Q&A.
Alternatively join ‘Funding Tips and Tricks’ for the inside scoop on getting your funding bids approved. The event is also an excellent chance for stakeholders, politicians, councillors, media, and charities to gain insight into rural issues and problem-solve together for a bright rural future. Workshops and the panel discussion will be interactive, allowing for all viewpoints to be heard on the day.
Rural development experts and advisors will also be in attendance to offer advice and support on a range of issues, as well as provide information on how Rural Action Yorkshire can help your community to achieve its full potential.
