Three key York organisations providing social care in York, Tadcaster and North Yorkshire for people with sight loss and other disabilities, including learning disabilities, are offering support staff jobs at an all-day job fair in York on Thursday 23 October. The fair is at the Monkbar Hotel, St Maurice’s Rd, York YO31 7JA, from 8.00am to 8.00pm.
Job seekers can drop into the event to meet staff and tenants from the Wilberforce Trust, United Response and Mencap for a discussion regarding the work and either be interviewed on the day and/or be invited for further interviews. Each of the three organisations is recruiting to its own staff group.
The event brings together three key providers of social care to give job seekers the opportunity of a career that offers real job satisfaction, training and career development opportunities, with immediate possibility to meet and greet employers and apply for current vacancies.
The three York organisations are working in collaboration not only in recruiting staff but also in developing training programmes with joint attendance from each organisation. There are a number of objectives: efficiency, standardising training and sharing good practice across agencies.
