IT’S BACK FOR ANOTHER YEAR AND YET AGAIN, RAISING MUCH NEEDED FUNDS FOR THE AMBULANCE WISH FOUNDATION. Hosted by 102.8 YO1 Radio, taking place on 26th May at York Sports Club, Clifton Park, Shipton Road, York, YO30 5RE. Gates open at 11:30 and music starts at 12:00-8:30pm. There will be two stages of the best local music, outside bar, food stalls, fair rides and much more family fun being planned

Wigginton Tennis Club - Breakpoint 2019

This summer, Robyn Moore, who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, will aim to hit 200,000 tennis shots as she takes on the Breakpoint 2019 challenge to raise awareness of and raise funds for mental health. Supported by the charity Bright Ideas for Tennis, Robyn will play for a minimum of 8 hours per day for 30 consecutive days, hitting the ball 5 million metres to represent 1 metre for every adult individual in the UK who currently experiences mental ill health. Her tennis shots will be recorded by Swing™, an app that will track every ball she hits.

Team member requirements are:

  • Entry fee: £25 per person (this helps us cover the cost of entering our team into the event)

  • Sponsorship target: £100 per person

Spiltmilk Dance, in association with York Theatre Royal, are bringing an exciting new project to York, and are looking for local people to get involved.
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED and you don’t even have to dance!
Now That's What I Call Dancing will invite 10 people from across the city, at 10 different stages of life to each create a short dance on 2 professional performers, about absolutely anything.
