Kate Twiddle, 28, from Rawcliffe and Jess Richardson, 25, from Newton upon Derwent, are teaming up to run four miles in every four hours, for 24 hours, starting at 6pm on Friday August 23.
The duo have raised more than £15,000 for good causes since they became friends in January 2020 and their exploits and fundraising efforts have supported various charities across the UK.
They were recognised for their efforts with a shortlisting in the 2023 York Community Pride Awards.
So far this year, Kate and Jess, known as ‘Fundraising Friends’ have run for Menfulness York and the 24-hour event at the end of the month is in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
