A POPULAR York businessman says he wants to stand as a local council candidate.
The tea room, run by Tony Vickers (and his business partner), has been at the centre of a controversy since 2023. They painted the name of the business on the front of the historic building, which dates back to 1316 and is part of the Grade I listed timber-framed houses known as Lady Row.
