Rough sleepers in York have received a 'lifeline' after a charity has announced plans to resurrect pop-up accommodation to help the homeless.
This winter, four NAP Pads will once again be opened to provide some of York’s most vulnerable people with a warm bed and a locked door, says homeless charity CEO Sleepout.
They have organised the shelters which provide a bed, heating and a toilet.
Each pod contains a toilet, sink and a bed – complete with a duvet and pillow – while they are also equipped with life-saving monitors that can detect if an occupant’s breathing slows or stops.
