A YORK man is currently being held in police custody after an incident in the city centre.
North Yorkshire Police say that a 40-year-old man is being held in custody for questioning after being arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and being drunk and disorderly.
This follows an incident which took place at 5.40pm on Wednesday (January 15) in York city centre.
After a search for the suspect, he was arrested around 25 minutes later.
Police say the victim is being supported while enquiries continue.
