CHILDREN at a York primary school have had a visit from an inspirational Olympian.
Pupils at St Aelred’s Catholic Primary School in Fifth Avenue, Tang Hall, got to meet triathlete Jonny Brownlee who led them in a run around the school grounds and joined everyone for an assembly.
The school's deputy head, Ryan Deakin said: "Jonny came to speak to the children about his incredible sporting success.
"He showed off his Olympic medals and took them on a run round the grounds."
The school supports the Brownlee Foundation – a charity led by Jonny and his brother, fellow Olympian Alistair Brownlee, working to inspire children through sport.
