North Yorkshire Police say the body of a man which was recovered on Monday (January 6) from an area of flooding near to Intake Lane in Beal near Selby has been informally identified.
A force spokesman said: “We're currently in the process of tracing the man’s next of kin and formal identification will take place in due course.
“At this stage, there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the discovery. A file will be prepared for the coroner.
“Thank you to everyone who shared the media appeal which we issued earlier, the information which we have received has assisted us with our enquiries.”
