A children's play area in a York village is set to receive a major upgrade to add disability friendly equipment after receiving a grant from the National Lottery.
Brecksfield Playground in Skelton will be fitted with a new wheelchair-accessible roundabout and a sturdy swing after Skelton Parish Council was awarded a grant of £20,000.
The play equipment, which will be installed in the next few weeks (once weather allows), will feature sturdy and specialist equipment on a "wet pour rubber safety surface", ensuring the park remains a "welcoming and inclusive space for all".
