Music, games, magic and fun are on the menu this Bank Holiday Saturday (24 August) at York’s Coppergate Shopping Centre, when YO1 Radio hosts a summer spectacular on the central lawn of St Mary’s Square.
Taking inspiration from Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience which opened in York St Mary’s in early July, four paintings by Van Gogh and Monet will adorn the 36 umbrellas along Coppergate Walk to create a new look for the selfie hot-spot throughout August. Looking up, visitors will see The Starry Night and Starry Night Over the Rhone alongside Monet’s Water Lilies from 1907 and Wild Poppies, creating an umbrella gallery in the sky.
Full occupation for York’s Coppergate Centre shows continued demand for city centre retailing. The bosses at the Coppergate Centre in York are bucking the trend for closing shops in York city centre, announcing that they now have full occupation of all of the units, with the opening of the new Pavers store at the top of Coppergate Walk and a new bubble tea outlet.
