People across Yorkshire are being called on to hold a Big Bake for Martin House Hospice Care for Children and Young People as part of Children’s Hospice Week.
Martin House is hoping people will come together to hold bake sales and coffee mornings to raise money to support its work caring for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions.

Steve Popple and Janie Chapelow are taking part in an expedition in Zambia this year to support the elephant conservation charity, Tusk, and Conservation Lower Zambezi in their Environmental Education Programme. The programme forms part of the organisation’s approach to combat poaching of wildlife and natural resource exploitation in and around the Lower Zambezi National Park. Last year’s inaugural campaign raised over £25,000.

Former York headteacher David Ellis is the new Captain of Sandburn Hall Golf Club, and has chosen York Mind as his nominated charity for his captain’s year.
It costs around £20,000 per year to keep York Rescue Boat saving lives. To allow York Rescue Boat to carry on saving lives we need your help!
