2 May 19: Local housebuilder, Barratt Developments, has shown its support for local football club, Hamilton Panthers FC, by generously donating tracksuits for the team’s Under-11s to wear.
A total of 23 boys have benefitted from the tracksuits – officially handed out at the club’s home ground, Little Knavesmire Sports Pavilion in York - helping to keep the team dry and warm during training sessions throughout the year.
There is a strong Barratt connection to the club. Retired Construction Director, Peter Douglass, and Technical Coordinator, Andrew Tute, have their grandchildren and children registered on the books.

Peter Douglass, retired Construction Director at Barratt Developments and proud grandparent to player Georgie, commented: “We have a great relationship with Hamilton Panthers FC and are keen to continue that throughout 2019 and beyond. We hope the boys get great use out of the tracksuits and enjoy wearing them at training and games. We encourage any people within the local area to visit and get in touch with The Chocolate Works which is closely situated to the club.”
Barry Casterton, President of Hamilton Panthers FC, commented: “We are very grateful for Barratt Developments’ generous sponsorship towards our Under-11s team. I’m sure the tracksuits will be put to great use by all of the boys. We encourage anyone interested in playing for our club to get in touch as we’re always looking to improve and connect with the local community.”
