Local Couple take on Zambian Expedition to raise money for conservation

Steve Popple and Janie Chapelow are taking part in an expedition in Zambia this year to support the elephant conservation charity, Tusk, and Conservation Lower Zambezi in their Environmental Education Programme. The programme forms part of the organisation’s approach to combat poaching of wildlife and natural resource exploitation in and around the Lower Zambezi National Park. Last year’s inaugural campaign raised over £25,000.

While law enforcement is an important tool in protecting wildlife and natural resources, changing mindsets through education and awareness-raising is key to the long term safe-guarding of wildlife and the environment.
