International Garden Writer and Designer, Noel Kingsbury, will be running his gardening Masterclass, “A Rabbits Eye View” near York this month. This is a real coup for Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens who will host the event as the class in only being run at two Yorkshire venues – the other being Sheffield Botanical Gardens.
Noel Kingsbury is perhaps best known for his book collaborations with Dutch Garden Designer, Piet Ouldorf, but he also writes for many magazines, including Gardens Illustrated who are organising this Masterclass tour. He champions a naturalistic approach to planting and design, which makes Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens a perfect venue for this full day workshop.
Garden owner, Vanessa Cook, said “we are really honoured to have such an eminent garden designer use our garden for this event. It recognises the work that we do in natural planting and sustainability in our family garden.”
The masterclass will focus on long-term performance of plants in a border asking questions like “how long will they survive?”, “will they spread?” and “what will they look like in 5 years time?
This is a unique opportunity for garden enthusiasts to learn from one of the top experts.
Noel’s masterclass at Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens take place on Thursday 20th September from 10:00am to 4:30pm. The ticket price of £90 includes lunch and there is ample free parking at the venue.
