Karen Newall chats to Chris from YO1 Radio about Toy Like Me

Toy Like Me are an community arts based company set up to represent disability in toys. They campaign to try and encourage the big toy companies to represent disabilities in their toys such as dolls with hearing aids.

They are raising money to purchase toys to create toy boxes to go to organisations who work with disabled children such as Lollipop and SNAPPY. Examples of the toys are a doll with guide dog, wheel chairs for dolls, and even a monkey with a cochlear implant. The hope is that the joy of play can be spread to all.
